    The Southeastern Conference announced its most recent women's basketball players of the week Monday, recognizing outstanding performances on the court from around the league.

    Theresa Plaisance • LSU
    Senior • Forward


    • Plaisance racked up 21.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game fueled by a pair of double-doubles in wins against Auburn and at Ole Miss.
    • LSU was one of three SEC teams to complete a 2-0 week and moved up into a third-place tie in the SEC standings.
    • She connected on 51.6 percent of her shots and has amassed double figures in 10 consecutive games.
    • Plaisance matched a season-high 19 points during the Auburn game before she poured in a season’s best 23 points at Ole Miss.
    • Her 11 rebounds versus Auburn enabled Plaisance to become the 18th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points and 500 career rebounds.

    • Was a key contributor inside, helping the Tide to beat No. 9/8 Kentucky and Georgia last week, which snapped a 23-game losing skid to the Lady Bulldogs.
    • Scored a team-high tying 16 points in the victory over Georgia, going 7-for-8 from the floor.
    • Also pulled down a team-best nine rebounds versus the Lady Bulldogs.
    • Averaged 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds on the week with a 52.9 field goal percentage.
    • Leads Alabama in shooting percentage (.527) and rebounds (6.0) as a freshman.
