    SEC Women's Tennis Players Of The Week

    The Southeastern Conference announced its most recent women's tennis honors Wednesday, recognizing outstanding performances from around the league.

    • Compiled a combined 4-2 singles and doubles -playing the No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles spot - record at the National Team Indoor Championships.
    • Posted 2 big individual upsets – one on the singles court and one on the doubles court.
    • Upset Southern California’s No. 13 Sabrina Santamaria – who ranked No. 1 during the 2013 Fall – and helped the Gators rally for a 4-1 win. 
    • 13th-ranked Santamaria was the highest-ranked player Janowicz has defeated in her career (previous was ranked No. 30 in Jan. 2011)
    • Doubles win against Southern Cal’s No. 7-ranked team in the country, 6-4 – she and her partner are unranked in doubles

    • Helped the Gamecocks bounce back from a 5-2 loss at Virginia to win three straight matches.
    • Provided the clinching point in singles against Charleston Southern.
    • Teamed with Popova to clinch the doubles point against Davidson.
    • Lost just six games in three singles matches on the week and three in doubles.
    • Won 11 games in a row against her opponent from Charleston Southern.
    • Played her first career match at No. 2 singles versus Davidson after playing No. 3 in all her previous contests.
    • Tied for the team lead in singles victories this season with 12.
