    SEC Swimming and Diving Championships Begin Tuesday

    ATHENS, Ga. – The 2014 Southeastern Conference Swimming and Diving Championships take place this Tuesday through Saturday at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in Athens, Ga. The preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. ET each day with the finals beginning at 6 p.m. ET each day.

    The finals events Tuesday through Thursday will be streamed live on GeorgiaDogs.com, while the finals on Friday and Saturday will be streamed live on ESPN3. ESPNU will air a 90-minute highlight show for both the men’s (March 3 at 4 p.m. ET) and women’s (March 4 at 5:30 p.m. ET) championships.     The SEC Swimming and Diving Championships feature among the finest competition in the nation. The men’s side features five of the nation’s top-25 squads, including top-ranked Florida, while the women’s side boasts seven top-25 teams.

    Florida has captured a league-leading 34 SEC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, including the 2013 crown, but Auburn has won 18 of the last 20. The Gators have also won a league-leading 17 SEC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, but Georgia has claimed the last four consecutive.
