The Southeastern Conference on Monday announced the Community Service Teams for the sports of men’s and women’s track and field and cross country.

Louisiana State University’s Cullen Doody and Leigh Gilmore of the University of Alabama, both cross country and track and field athletes , have been named the 2011-12 Brad Davis Southeastern Conference Community Service Leaders of the Year, Commissioner Mike Slive announced Thursday.

Three Southeastern Conference student-athletes are among the 29 male and 29 female postgraduate scholarship recipients for participants in fall sports, the NCAA has announced. Each student-athlete receives grants of $7,500.
