Growing up, former LSU standout and Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones didn’t have a stable male influence in her life. With her father in and out of prison and her mother and four siblings fighting poverty, Jones found that stabilizing force in LSU coach Dennis Shaver, who became a consistent male role model for his pupil.
