    2011 SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team

    The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams in all 20 sports.  The Community Service Team looks to highlight athletes from the SEC who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.  Brief biographical sketches of the members of the 2011 Women’s Tennis Community Service Team follows:

    University of Alabama Athletic Department’s Halloween Extravaganza where children 13 and under get to spend an evening in costume with student-athletes and participate in various activities … Project Angel Tree where teams raise money to help give Christmas gifts to children with incarcerated parent(s) … USTA/ITA Campus Kids Day … Walk to Defeat ALS … Read Across America.

    Humanity in Cayce, S.C... A regular volunteer at Harvest Hope Food Bank... Regularly donate clothes to the Red Cross.

    Helped assemble bikes for underprivileged children... Participated in Toys for Tots during the holiday season... Active in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure... Attended a special Holiday Dinner for the less fortunate...
