    SEC Announces Men's Tennis Community Service Team

    The SEC sponsors Service Community Teams in all 21 sports.  The Community Service Team looks to highlight athletes from the SEC who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.  Brief biographical sketches of the members of the 2013 Men’s Tennis Community Service Team follows:

    Stuart Kenyon, Alabama
    Sophomore • Houston, Texas

    Member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee… Reads to local elementary school students… Took part in The University of Alabama athletic department’s Halloween Extravaganza… Participated in several tennis clinics and USTA/ITA Campus Kids’ Days.

    Kid’s Day Mentoring... Tutoring high schoolers... Sweat Hogs at St. Joe’s... Read to kids at Sonshine Schoo... Men’s March Against Violence... Run For Love... Sweat Hogs at Folsom Elementary... Rockin With The Razorbacks autograph signing.

    Participated in “Home Runs For Hometown Rivals” – a Special Olympics baseball game held on campus and organized jointly by Special Olympics at UGA and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee... Volunteered to reshelve books at library...  Coordinated Easter egg hunt at a city park in Athens.

    Helps out annually with God’s Pantry as part of a Lexington community outreach program that packs sacked lunches for needy kids and hand delivers them to school cafeterias... Has worked with the Angel Tree Foundation as well as spending his time with the University of Kentucky student body wrapping Christmas presents for the needy every year around Christmas time... Annually seen out helping out young tennis up-and-comers with their tennis game, helping their development in the community camps.

    Participated in tennis clinics at area courts and at EdVenture… Contributed to the Opening Ceremony at Edlympics in Columbia… Volunteered at Lights on After School.

    Helped lead the team adoption of Ryan Breedlove, a 9-year-old with a rare form of eye cancer... The team hosted an official signing ceremony at their home courts… Wrapped gifts as part of a Christmas campaign… Took part in a Halloween festival for children… Visited the local Boys and Girls Club chapter multiple times.
